toys for the little ones
Using the tool can be tricky for toddlers as it takes a lot of effort. To make it easier for my daughter, I first cut the apple in half and then gave it to Julia. Garbage was placed in a basket, and cut pieces of apple - on a plate.
Working with a vegetable peeler To begin with, I offered my daughter to get to know the vegetable peeler better, Julia just held it in her hands. Then I showed her how to peel carrots by laying them on a cutting board and holding one end with one hand, peeling off the skin with the other hand with a knife. So the risk of injuring fingers is much less. When I showed my daughter how to work with the tool, I made clear, slow movements. Later, she learned to peel more complex vegetables - potatoes and apples. Working with a grater When I grated something, Julia happily brought her stool to look closer, and, beaming, said: “I want that too!”
